"Xana and Dax: When Opposites Attract" is the second release in Comstock Films' "real people, real life, real sex" series, following their award-winning "Marie and Jack: A Hardcore Love Story." They have three other films "in the can," including one lesbian and one gay male couple, so there's much to look forward to. The purpose of this series is to see those real couples having real sex, as opposed to porn stars feigning interest in each other, and Xana and Dax are all that and more. They look and sound and have sex not just like "real people," but people I'm actually friends with. They talk about how they met, how much they enjoy each other's bodies and their general love and appreciation for each other in a way that you won't see in any other "porn movie." Initially, when the two talk about each other, their "interview" is interspersed with snippets of sex, but eventually you see one long continuous scene that features the couple in numerous positions. When she sucks his cock, he looks positively beatific; their 69 is almost too intimate. And when they do it doggie style, Xana experiences an eyes-rolling-into-the-back-of-her-head orgasm. Whew! What you see on screen is two people very much in love and truly enjoying themselves both spiritually and sexually. It is hot! The lighting is kind of, um, heavenly. It illuminates Xana's hair in an ethereal way; her white-blonde curls and his coal black corkscrews make a great juxtaposition. They're both very attractive -- they have beautiful teeth! -- but it's their honesty and frankness about their sex life that makes them even more appealing. Xana has a huge, colorful tattoo on her back and a bunch of hipster piercings that add to her "experienced woman" vibe. And Dax's South American accent is sexy as hell. Plus, they have a wonderful rapport. Watching them undress each other and listening to their soft whispers is incredibly intimate and a total turn-on. Not to mention that when Xana peels back Dax's briefs, an impressively large cock springs out. Yeehaw! The film is shot in a very "blank" room -- no decor, no distractions, just warm, dark walls, white sheets and not much else. It was nice not to see the usual tacky LA ranch house or odd personal effects surrounding the sex scenes and be able to focus on the couple themselves. (Sorry, but I am often thrown by particularly egregious lamps, carpets and tchotchkes in the background. Bad taste is so not sexy!) I can't wait to see the upcoming Comstock Films releases, because the intimacy that shines through in these films is a refreshing alternative to the usual stilted, plastic sex industry dreck.
