London Featured Event

If you're a dedicated Eros Zine reader, you assuredly recall that Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School is a den of wicked iniquity that, no question, will leave you seeking after vague memories of frenzied fan dances and erratic conga lines while you attempt — unsuccessfully, I assure you! — to excavate the leavings of a vermillion conte crayon from underneath what's left of your Lee press-ons.

Sketchy founder Molly Crabapple tangoed onto this slippery slope of debaucherous drawing because after uncounted months as a brazen hussy posing salaciously before septugenarian shutterbugs, she asked herself — and here I quote — to discover "Where was the booze-and-hot-chicks fantasy so many of us went to art school for?" Where, Molly — where, indeed?

The Bacchanals of Dr. Sketchy have now sullied conurbations at every longitude, its indecent mingling of liquor and fine art having fouled Philadelphia and Phoenix, debauched Detroit, Denmark and Down Under, and, to be sure, lathered up L.A. and the 'Lizabeth, and now — sadly — London, the Mutha Country herself, yes, verily tempted by the Doctor from a life of virtue and Masterpiece Theatre into that sodden wilderness of depraved desecration summoned only by impolite scribblings committed to paper with a high cotton content or, when things get really busy, bar napkins.

Brought to you by the folks at Sugarlesque, a "modernist" collective which allegedly provides lovingly hand-made nipple pasties and other burlesque accessories, this newest Dr. Sketchy's is guaranteed to make full use of the many models on the thriving London burlesque scene, and future salons promise — cover your eyes!! — "rippling hunks of man." Naughty November brings model Ophelia Bitz to Sketchy's London. As you imbibe, Miss Bitz will inveigle you with dangerous curves and come-hither eyes, allowing you to lovingly turn your sketchpad into a banquet of degenerate delectation. Be warned!! Behind Miss Bitz's tassels lurk succulent budlike morsels of unholy damnation, and Toulouse-Lautrec will not be there to save you as your fingers take on a life of their own, caressing charcoal-rendered cleavage until all hope is lost.

We here in America frown upon such things, at least until after the third Pabst Blue Ribbon, so we hope you Londoners will enjoy a few hot toddies or whatever it is you do before attempting to capture the illicit delectability of the tempting Miss Bitz. Dr. Sketchy wouldn't have it any other way.
